Quality detection

Questions & answers.

What are the system requirements?
CueRadar runs on macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. Native on Apple Silicon, also runs on Intel Macs. No external dependencies — Chromaprint, LUFS metering, transcoding, all built in.
What audio formats are supported?
FLAC, MP3, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, M4A/AAC. Both lossy and lossless. CueRadar reads the actual audio stream — tags are inspected separately so you can see when they lie.
Does it modify my original files?
Only when you explicitly trigger a transform (transcode/resample/remux). Quality analysis and duplicate detection are pure read operations. Every transform writes a copy by default — your originals stay untouched unless you opt in to in-place replacement.
Does my library leave my Mac?
No. CueRadar is fully local. Optional anonymous scan telemetry (codec stats, never filenames or audio) can be sent if you opt in — off by default, fully GDPR-compliant. See the privacy policy.
How much does it cost?
Free. CueRadar is free to download and use on macOS, with no time limit, no usage cap, and no paywalled features today. If that ever changes we'll say so loudly in advance.
How do updates work?
Built-in via Sparkle — the standard macOS auto-update framework. New versions download in-place when you launch the app, with ed25519-signed verification on every release. You can also grab the latest DMG directly from the download page.
